Hey, liberal America! You want to know what the problem you have connecting with red state America is? It's when I read something like this I can't tell whether he's serious or if it's a parody.
It's a serious attempt at conciliation. I vote you explain why you don't see the war in Iraq as disastrous, and you don't see the tax cuts as disastrous and you see the deficits as bad but not totally Bush's fault. Then send him the answer.
If you don't want to do it I might. If they don't understand, they don't understand. Some one's got to break the bad news to them.

No it's not. It's just another smarmy attack on the dumb yokels who stupidly voted for Bush.
The last paragraph is the giveaway. Now that they've lost, they claim that we need to find common ground and mutual respect---but on *their* terms.
